First Assassins Creed 2 Info
So as expected some Assassins Creed 2 info has started to slip out (not a lot yet but any news is good news). Also talk of an Altair return (to start the rumour fires going).
In an interview with AusGamers animation director David Wilkinson let some info slip and said the following about the current status of Assassin's animation guru Alex Drouin....
He's busy making Altair even more beautiful," Wilkinson revealed. "Last thing I saw him do was getting Altair to swim.

Well it's quite obvious from the first one's ending that Number 2 will be set in the present of the first one, I just hope that it's still freeroaming it'll be like an awesome mix between the original assassins creed and gta, except you'll be jumping from building to building in NYC, for example, so yea, I cant wait
me 2 ii just hope there are even cooler modern day weapons to use but still allow you to be a ninja sort of character
but the whole point of these games is that it isnt one of the gun or modern games. there r far too many shooting and killing games about our modern life. what makes AC trilogy so good is how it is different and probably better. keep it historic! =o)
Well Not really it is going to be released during the french revolution I think. If you look at the ending of the game there are some Historic Empire rulers and some other things you might want to take a look at.
See here would be the problem with Assassins Creed 2 taking place in NYC, and the present... 1: Holy crap!?? Have you seen how huge those buildings are!?!? Desmond jumping off of a 24 story building to a 12 story building, and surviving? Very unrealistic :/ But with the arrival of Mirrors Edge, we do know it can be done! 2: The whole point of Assassins Creed i think was to show that not much has actually changed since the events of the first game, in fact, the assassins are still their? As I recall only 4 or 5 where left close to the end of the game (excluding the "leader") and one was already a cripple with only one arm to fight with! How they could have kept the Assassins going, is beyond me. So naturally it has to take place, not only in the past, but in the present, possibly the present (like the last game) be more of a story telling part of the game (the e-mails, and lucy, and all the damn conversations.) 3: From what we could actually see out the windows of the building we were in, NYC (are we actually in NYC!?) appeared to be... more futuristic than it actually is, hence the buildings being light and almost freshly painted looking. (Light meaning like PURE white) Althought this could just be a bloom effect since you've been cooped up in this room for a day or two... Anyways the odds of Assassins Creed 2 following Desmond seem unlikely, sadly to say, he did quit/leave the assassins at the age of 14. And hasn't been trained or training in awhile most likely. Thanks for reading this long post with my opinion/'s, post yours, and your theory's on how you think the next game should be, or just what you think it shouldn't be ^_^
Yo, I'm just gonna go out on a limb here, and say that i believe the next game will be ficused on mainly desmond instead, and a lil bit on altair. I say this b/c since desmond has already gotten the hightened vision, he may also recieve other skills of his ancestors. Eventually, if you see something enough, your brain will break down the actions for you, and you will be able to do it, if to a minor degree. Just throwing it out there.
To settle some confusion, I think that the second assassins would be set around the 2100's because when Lucy is talking about the war that has been going on for 1000 years and Altair is set in the mid 1100's, it would make aence because of the futuristic buildings that are outside of the window at the place where mr.miles is being held.

The game's coming out on November 17, 2009. It's set during the Italian Renaissance and the weapons are created by Da'Vinchi. Saw the trailer and it looks awesome! The assassin you play can actually swim instead of drowning. He can also steal weapons from his enemies and use the weapons against them, double stealth kill, and also really cool flying device that the guards think is a demon. XD Basically with Desmond it'll be the same except Lucy would have updated the Animus and it would just be more advanced. It would still probably be like the firt game where we go through memories of his ancestor instead of Desmond actually being an assassin now. Besides, I really doubt that Desmond can get past all of the people guarding the place without any fighting skills.
