Interesting System Requirements Tool
Thanks to FableFreak for bringing this very helpful little tool to my attention, seems a somewhat underrated little tool as i hadn't heard of it before. It works by downloading your PC components stats and analysing them against the minimum and recommended requirement specs for any game currently on the market and lets you know if your system can run it and how well. This tool will save you time and effort of going around forums asking people if certain games will run and save you money by stopping the risk of buying a game that wont run on your system.
Will I be able to play Assassin's Creed with the above mentioned processor, 1 GB DDR2 RAM, 512 MB video card (ATI HD 2400 Pro)
You know what would be great? If any of you could just figure it out for yourself. I have a 2.0 intel dual core with 3gb of ram and a decent nvidia powered graphics card and cant run it worth a damn
Don't know why some of you even TRY to play games like this on your store-bought systems. AMD Athalon 64x2 5400+ 2.8GHz with 4GB 800mhz DDR2, dual GeForce 8800 GT Super+ 1GB gfx cards ... plays just fine, no lag, can't wait to try it on my new 24" widescreen. Ironman, Bioshock, Crysis, GTA SA(c'mon november 18th for GTA4 release) they all play just fine. Build a pc that will handle the games you want to play and go overboard so it'll play next years games too.

to Mooman while your system meets most of the recommended requirements the graphics card does not it is just a little bit more powerful than a geforce 6600GT the 8400series is a budget card. manufacturers often put more RAM on the card to make it more attractive however the processor of the card still lacks the power to process the games graphics try lowering the settings and/or resolution and it should run fine.
Arthur it could be any number of reasons often the graphics card in brand name PC's are not that great or low end budget models find out what card you have. it could also be a bad download or any number of problems try to find demo if u can and get that to run sorry cant help u to much there.
Tanmoy i don't think you PC can handle assassins creed simly because you have a single core processor and your graphics card is extremely old its slower than a high end Geforce 4 ti4600. try finding a demo and if u can get that to work then the game should run but i highly doubt it.

Any help on my query below?
Cheers
THIS IS B.S WHY DONT THEY JUST GIVE US A DEMO SO WE KNOW IF WE CAN BUY THE DAM GAME OR NOT

This site isn't too laptop user friendly.
I ran my notebook through system requirements lab and it told me that I couldn't run the majority of my games that I had from my past PC.
This site doesn't recognize my Mobile Sempron II M120 @2100mhz chipset (with HD4200 ATI card) in my notebook. Turns out I can run FFXI, WoW, EQ2, very well at default settings and it runs well at higher graphics settings too (no lag, no lock ups, etc.).
I think anyone with a non-Pentium based notebook should look at their notebook processor speed and compare it to the desired game specifications (If the game needs a single core or dual core to run it etc.) Most likely, if the notebook processor speed is faster than what is indicated by the games minimum requirement and processor type (i.e. single core, or dual core) the game will run regardless of what system requirements labs says.
Example in systems requirements lab:
FFXI requires a Pentium III @ 800mhz or faster...
Result: You have AMD Sempron M120 @ 2100mhz >>> failed
(*gives a false negative. AMD Sepron m120 @2100mhz is faster than a pent. 3 @800mhz)
*As long as your chip speed is faster than what is recommended on the games minimum requirements, then you can play.
I hope this helps someone out there.
