Thought id wait a while before posting this to give people a chance to finish it first anyone who hasnt played the game and doesnt want it spoiled should stop reading now. Heres a full in depth explanation of the ending of Assassins Creed and the whole meaning of the ending. Its very detailed and shows the amount of story and depth this series has left and how many secrets the intriguing game still holds.

what´s with this?
at the beginnig of the game before we take control of altair, when the animus is going “crazy” and desmond is pulled out
Vidic: we know who you are, what you are

wether you like it or not, you´ve got something that my employers want, locked away
in that head of yours

Vidic: yes, your file indicated as much, something about an escape; most fortunate for us

what does it mean “but i´m not an assassin, not anymore”
the crusades are supossed to be going on in yr 1191 and desmond is in 2012… he was a killer or something??
