Google AdSense Ads Removed From ACX

Published by projectego on August 12, 2007

Hi all,

This is just a quick update to let you know that I have decided to temporarily remove any and all ads from the Assassin’s Creed X site - and I will get round to removing the advertisements from the Assassin’s Creed Forum at some point during the week.

I figure that since Assassin’s Creed X is a relatively new site on the block (we first launched the site on February 15th of this year, in fact) and I can’t imagine that alot of people would want to be part of a new site with tons of intrusive Google AdSense ads staring them in the face.

The same goes for a few other sites under our network, which were also very recently launched, such as; Mass Effect and Resident Evil News. The only two websites which will be retaining the ads for now are the Fable and Devil May Cry 4 sites that have already become very well established since their joint launch in early 2006.

I personally find that Assassin’s Creed X and each of the other gaming websites under our network look a whole lot better without the Google AdSense ads, too. :)
